It Is Wall Installation Day... Finally! | Good Shepherd Baptist Church

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to share with you a new project that I've been working on at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. In a recent YouTube video, I documented the process of installing new LED screens in the church. This was a significant project that required careful planning, preparation, and execution.

The video begins with me at the church, waiting for the delivery of the screens. I had all the necessary equipment and materials ready, but the screens were yet to arrive. Despite this, I decided to start the preparation work. I planned to build a frame for the screen, make holes in the wall to run the ethernet cable through, and install a recessed power outlet on the wall.

I started by running the SDI cable for the screens and measuring everything to start putting the beams down. There was a slight delay as there was a practice session going on in the church, but I managed to set up the bottom plate and both sides. I decided to wait for the screens to arrive before putting the middle pieces in place.

The screens finally arrived, and I was excited to get started on the installation. I began by setting up the video processor, which would convert the signal from the ATEM and send it over the ethernet to the screen. I also prepared the ethernet outputs that would go out and feed into the screen to send the signal.

The installation process involved carefully measuring and cutting the boards, wrapping them in material to keep everything black instead of painting it, and screwing them into the wall. I also had to ensure that the ethernet and power cables were correctly installed and that there was enough space to reach in and make any additional changes if needed.

The installation process was not without its challenges. I had to figure out how to best arrange the cables and ensure that the screens were securely mounted. Despite these challenges, I made good progress, and by the end of the video, I had installed one row of screens with three more to go.

This project was a significant undertaking, but I'm pleased with the progress so far. I'm looking forward to completing the installation and seeing the new LED screens in action. I hope this video provides some insight into the process of installing LED screens in a church setting.

Stay tuned for more updates on this project!
